Looks like they shrunk the X5 to a Rav-4 size suv. It's ok.

i dont get why BMW actually made that car. this car would probably be cheaper than an X5 since its a lower class than the X5. it will take sales away from the x5. its like making a 4dr e46 m3

A 4 door E46 M3 would be a very welcome addition.....

yea but thhat can discourage m5 sales. i feel that the x3 will probably do that to the x5

I kind of like it... My wife has a new RAV4 now and she loves it because it is not as big as a normal SUV. I think I just found a replacement for her car...

I dont think this is a mistake for BMW to make. The X5 is like a 540, so currently there is no 3 series "SAV". There is niche for BMW in the 35-40K SUV market. Not everyone can drop 50-60K for an X5.

BTW- any official pricing for the X3?
