I do have a question for you:
I also have a facelifted coupe like you...and well, i'm not sure if i'll have time to do that whole oven the lights thing to install angel eyes due to school.....but i've researched quite a bit for already made headlights w/ pre-installed angels for the facelifted coupe. I was wondering what you thought about them, and if you'd think they would just be plug'n play?

btw Great write up for the DIY on angel eyes!

If you have a facelift coupe, then 'yes' you will have to use the oven or a heat gun. I used the oven since it distributes the heat through out the headlight and it was easier to take it apart versus using a heat gun and opening up a section at a time. But whatever is easier for you. You will have to use heat to soften the glue.

is it hard to just pop of the cap in front of the headlight?
or does it has to go in the oven for that to?
i would like to fumigate my front blinker, just lik e you did it.. (without the angeleyes)

Hi! Thank you for ur DIY! I'm going to put the CCFL angel eyes into my car! I already removed:

+ The 2 rubber tubes on each side of the headlight
+ The rubber trim on the side of the headlight
+ All the bulbs
+ 2 screws on the back

So do you think the headlight is ready to be baked?( b/c i still see a lot of wires in the interior of the headlight and how about the ballast?)

What should i do next?

Well, the way I did it, was:
- Cut the trigger/remote wire that is a part of the AE kit, I believe it's red.
- Run a wire to the inside of the car from one end of the cut wire, and connect it to the switch
- Run another wire from the swicth to the other end of the cut wire
This way you will create a circuit which you can turn on/off.

I also have 2 switches because there are 2 trigger wires. One for the Car's ECU, and another for the interior.

Let me know if that makes any sense, if not I'll try to clear it up.

Hello, First off thanks for reading this. I am going to buy the pred. orion v2's tomorrow. I wanted to know how how to run a wire to a push button inside my car. I am going to do the remote feature, but I want to run a on/off button to my ashtry. I have the botton, just need the advice to teach me how to do it. Thanks in advance, Drew.
