I have ramps and drove the front of the car up on them, then jacked the rear to put in jack stands. That gave me enough ground clearance to carefully pull, rotate, and massage (apply enough pressure at interference points to slightly deflect the tubing) the hard line around the steering column as I meticulously guided the line forward, feeling with my hands wherever it seems to snag onto. It's not hard nor frustrating, but requires finesse and thought as to how to manipulate the line around obstacles.
