Thank you for the info on SMG pump issues. My car is experiencing some major SMG issues, and it seems to be related to heat. I am looking into replacing the NTC temperature sensor on the SMG pump unit only, because my SMG malfunctions only when ambient temperature is high, combined with low air flow into the engine.
I have a big favor to ask, if it's possible. I need to confirm what brand and type of the temperature sensor it is on the pump unit. It is the smaller sensor mounted near the corner. I was wonder if you could take a couple of macro photos of it, if you still have your old pump somewhere. My email is

I'm hoping to find ways to swap parts on the pump, in order to avoid having to replace the entire pump, thus help save the fellas of our M3 community a few bucks.
