    there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing the project on your own and your car runs like new after changing the head gasket ,flushing out your coolant system, and pretty much change all the obvious things that need changing. However all it really takes up is time especially if it is your first time doing it the breaking down will give a lil trouble after that just follow torquing specs and reassembling is a snap.

    Hey I noticed on the "what did you do for your e46 today thread" you had mentioned you replaced your head gasket.

    I'm looking to do the same on my 330ci and was wondering just how the degree of difficulty was and what the end result did for your ride.

    I've gotten some feedback from other users saying "don't do it", "who replaces their head gasket", "just swap the motor", and so on. I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't. Am I missing something?
