I took the seat out to do it. You have to take out all the plugs that go into the main harness.
This plugs into the seat belt tensioner.
The part where it plus in......there is a lock tab on that plug. You lift it straight up with a small flat head. The tab is hidden unless you know what to look for.
It's not something you can force out of the tensioner like some of the other plugs. It's like the side air bags in the door panel.
After time.....corrosion builds up because the wire was designed too small from the factory. The corrosion makes more resistance and throws the light. The bass was a patch that uses a bigger wire. I figured I'd just replace this one when it caused problems. not a fan of black tape.
