With a black car, any color of calipers will look good. Stop by Lowes or Home Depot and see what colors are available. Regular spray paint is fine. You don't need high temp, but if you really want to do a good job, get primer and gloss as well.

wow 4$ for all the calipers I'd be crazy not to. I think Ill either stick with black or a dary gray. Possibly red.

I don't anyone personally who installed their bumpers but plenty of people on here have done it without problems. You just need to make sure you act for the correct mounting brackets from the company you order from. And I wouldn't really worry about messing anything up, it is pretty straight forward. As for the calipers, you actually only need one can of whatever color you want. My friend and I just used enamel because its higher quality. We actually did not remove the calipers either, we simply taped them of with frog tape (its like scotch blue painters tape but better) and sprayed the whole caliper. When I paint mine, I will also first paint the rotors in the areas that do not get touched by the pads. They are a little rusty after the winter. Don't worry about overspray though because the first time you brake, the pads will clear off any excess.

u know anybody personally who has installed their bumpers themselves? im just nervous im going to mess something up and having to pay more to get it done right. I got a little time to think about it though. So for these calipers I can get some enamel spray paint at like home depot? for 4 bucks a can 16$ for all the calipers it like why not do that? Do I have to drain brake fluid to take the calipers off? I bet there's a DIY somewhere on here....

Calipers require one can of enamel spray paint so basically 4 bucks to paint them. I think I will do red for mine. As for the body kit, unless it is OEM it will take some modifying to make it fit right but it is probably a better idea like you said to do it yourself.

oh very nice, yea I want to do my calipers too but first things first and Ill see where I am with money even thought painting calipers shouldnt be too expensive. For your car i think red would look nice. if not red then Id go with something neutral like black or a dark gray just to make them look better/newer. Other colors might not go with the greenish hue the paint has. You have any idea how hard it would be to install a bodykit? Im leaning towards getting the bodykit painted professionally and then installing it myself to save a few bucks.

Honestly, we just used spray paint. We were going to us the professional sprayer I have but I have no experience using it on a car so we went with what we know. The color is matte gray. We used gray auto primer and then matte clear oat on top to give the look we wanted and it came out great. Then we refinished the wheels in silver spray and the calipers in yellow. I liked the calipers so much I'm thinking of spraying mine but I can't think of what color would look good with my gray green (see album). What color do you think? Maybe red?

The car was a 1986 Mazda RX-7 in terrible condition. We didn't remove anything from it. We sanded it down, taped it off, and painted. Surprisingly it came out really well.

oh okay yea I think i've seen a DIy for something like that. I dont think im going to get HID bulbs, my co-work has a m3 and knows which new bulbs ill need to make the light color match the angel eyes. I forget what they were though. And yea I would love to see that paint job. Did you guys happen to remove/install your bumpers to paint or did you the paint the car all at once?
