Hi Jake!!! I wrote You about my car issues at YouTube a few days ago. You said You can get me a new Fuel Pump for less then $150! I need it ASAP!!! When would you be able to help me out?
Mail me please at email@example.com
Hi again! So I did clean my idle valve today. I had a hard time because somebody face adjustable clamps in opposite direction and I couldn't get them unless I took a lot of rubber and plastic things out. But I did that part and now that valve nice and clean. That was easy!!!
THANX FOR DIY AGAIN!!!
I saw your video at YouTube. The one with Idle Control Cleaning procedure. Pretty amazing! I'm about to do this little job in next couple hours! Thanx for great DIY! You are the Man!:)
And here's what I would like to ask You if You don't mind. IDK if You would be abble to give me a good peace of advice with my little issues but i hope you might.
So recently I bought my '02 330i and I bought it with CEL on it. It was my deal "sold as is". So I went to Autozone and I get 1 code "P0365 Camshaft Position Sensor". After that diagnostic I went to NAPA and get intake/exhaust sensors. Replaced one by one. Nothing change. The guy from Besian System said that I bought cheap once and I should've get OEMs. I bought ALTROM and spent 60 and 110 for those from them though. IDK:(
I forgot to mention that after visit Autozone at next day my car died. It gave up on me in downtown and wouldn't work for more than a little. It starts and work for like 6-10 seconds and then RPM goes lower and it feels like car choking or something. Creepy....
So i replaced my SPs and nothing changes and I get chance to read my car with professional diagnostic tools at garage. This is what I get this time:
18 Signal, camshaft sensor, exhaust (P1397)
227 Fuel trim bank 1, permissible range exceeded (P188)
228 Fuel trim bank 2, permissible range exceeded (P189)
8 Signal, air-mass flow sensor (P0101)
128 EWS transsmission/parity (n/a)
238 Misfire, cylinder 1 (P0301)
239 Mysfire, cylinder 2 (P0302)
21 Activation, Vanos solenoid valve, inlet (P1525)
65 Signal, inlet-camshaft sensor (P0340)
Mechanic said he could fix that and It might be up to $1000. I towed car back home and decide to learn my Baby and fix it by myself. I forgot to mention that I cause a little crack when I was replacing CPSs first time. The crack that I made is on the Vanos Unit Housing and I think it could trig that code "21".
So I'm waiting for new housing to come by mail. I found it for $100. But before I get the part I think I can do some little cleaning of some important parts. And Iddle control valve would be a good start. Car has 85K. It might help me out to get rid of my codes, right?
So, Man, what do think about rest of my codes? Which one am I going to need to pay attention first? Any Ideas???
