whats up . first time post and i just want to give back after getting info from this forum. I will get to the point. FYI I have an smg tranny and it would not go into gear once in a while. Finally it just did not. I read on this forum about replacing the salmon relay in the e-box. I did that and no changes occurred. I plugged in the obdII and got P0700(trans control malfunction) so I removed the relay while car was on and installed it while car was on, I then got another fault which said trans control relay voltage high. removed relay and reinstalled and whabang tranny shifted into gears as it should. I than cleared the two faults on obdII , started engine and no faults were present. what i am getting at is when I replaced the defective relay whith new one it did not recognize the new one until I did a hot rerack, thats when the system recognized the problem for me. Thats my story anyway and all is good. I hope this helps.
