Hello everyone, thx in advance for those members that might be able to shed light on my issue. The problem is an a/c compressor stuck in the on mode, with or without selecting the a/c,... on and off position on the a/c control module. Another thing is that the a/c system sprung a leak while this was going on, so i turned the car off, and disconnected a wire connection to a switch the was on a a/c system canistor. Dont really know what the name of that part is but it doesnt allow the compressor to engage. this canister is in the forward right side of car, kind of hard to get to. So if anyone has an idea, pls reply, i will deeply appreciate any help from ya'll. BTW, I found the leak, it seems to be coming from the bolted connection on the compressor. Is it possible that , what ever is keeping the a/c running all the time, built up so much pressure as to rupture a seal connection?
I've been having a/c problems for a while. The problem is a/c comes on sometimes, then doesn't at other times. Has new compressor, freon charge is good, friend at BMW dealer charged it up to correct capacity, heat control valve on left side engine compartment appears to be working, cause the heat inside the cabin appears to get much hotter when heater is turned on.BTW this car is a 2000 323i with 333,500 miles. A/c is irratic. I noticed that the a/c has been working ok since the temperature dropped to around 76* F ,don't know why, I've been search the forum for ans but haven't found one, also can't find an a/c wiring diagram to help troubleshoot the problem,so right I'm thinking it might be an outside temperature sensor,or a digital climate control module. Please help if you have had a similar problem, thank you
