Yeah i get this BS tranny slip fault once every year, maybe once every 10 months. Its nothin at all really, just the little gear error thing comes up next to your D on the dash, and you have to gas the car alot to move. Easy fix though, just pull off to the side of the road if you can, and shut your car off. Wait a minute, restart, and it resets everything just fine. It did it to me again yesterday, and the damn SES light came on and stayed on. My old OBD2 tool seems to only be for 96-2000 model vehicles or something cause it wont clear the code. Im hoping my buddies newer SNAP-ON diagnostic will clear it tomorrow, if not, looks like i need to really invest in the PEAKE tool ($140) or just take it to Automeister and pay the fee (think it was $80 or $110 for them to pull codes) for them to clear it. Dont need it read, could give a **** what it read, just want it cleared.

Funny thing about it all, is when i was at 110k (im at 130k now) i took it to a a few shops in town so i could change the tranny fluid, and they gave me the same BS statement that BMW's have "liftetime trannys, they dont need to be changed." W T F ever man. Never knew of a car where fluids never needed changing. Jesus. If they just would of changed it for me then, it'd saved me from these damn tranny slips every year and running around trying to find a diagnostic tool to clear lights.
