I think you have the wrong party - more likely I replied on a thread about this topic... but I'm not the original poster and I have never taken my mirror apart.

I have the Reinhold module which allows you to open/close the top by triple-clicking the fob buttons... so as long as you have initial contact, you don't have to worry about maintaining range through the cycle.

I can't believe it. Finally. Your post on increasing the range of the key fob so the top will open better is exactly what I have been searching for. Just not sure how to take the mirror apart. Do I pry it open, is there a screw? Also, this reflective tape you used, do you have photos of the installation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
