BMW community rollin' deep up here!! SRT....not so much. But their drivers signed my engine bay! They liked the hp and sound. Played dialing banjos with somebodies vette next door...all the locals said I wins
Intermittent battery light. Just for two seconds then off. And radio cut in and out and then stopped playing altogether. Turned car off and on, now radio works. Alternator belt is intact... Any thoughts?
Could just be the alternator on its way out. You can check system voltage through the easter egg function on the OBC. I forget what spec is, but you should be able to search what voltage the alternator is supposed to put out at idle and at x RPM. If you do need a replacement alternator, alternatorpros has a pretty good reputation, good prices, and quick shipping.
I think I got quoted close to $700 for a new alternator at the dealership, parts alone  Reman unit from alternatorpros was something on the order of $150
Definitely alt or battery failure approaching. My cost for an ac delco reman with lifetime warranty was $200 through my shop. Next alternator is free :woot: find an ac delco parts dealer. 334-xxxx series.
those cheap lifetime warranty altenators are nice, but when you start replacing them one after another it gets annoying. Good friend of mine replaced his 7 times before he broke down and bought one new.
