integrating phone into audio system

now that i'm running waze, i was thinking, how will i hear it over loud music?

i was thinking maybe i could run a mini cable from headphone jack and run a 2 into 1 splitter on my aux port?

On what kind of phone are running Waze? Does waze have the option of muting music when providing directions? I have Motion X gps in my iPhone and it mutes the music when providing directions.

I listen to music In my car through my phone on the aux port. Waze and Google maps both duck music audio when giving directions.

i'm using a droid global 2

so i could run a splitter and the waze would mute sirius music auto?

i see a box in sound settings for waze that says use phone speaker, why is this unchecked?

and i don't mean music coming from phone

So basically you want 2 audio sources at the same time?

You can use this

But it needs to powered externally.
