Q: Installing Hamann Bodykit
I have a 330Ci, for the front lip add-on and the rear add-on. Do you have to prepare the stock bumper by sanding it smoothing it down? or do you just glue the add-on's right on to the bottom of the stock bumper.

Are you gluing or taping it on?

gluing, is there a difference in preperation? glue vs. tape

I would get a professional degreaser of dewaxer and wipe the down any place where the glue is going. Im not sure I would sand it down because you might want to take it off someday. Does you glue not have instructions

If you got the original hamann kit, then it should have came with that black glue stuff that is called ELCh or sumthing, not sure on spelling. But anyways just wipe down your bumper with 3m cleaner or similar item and the important thing is that u clean the surface behind the kit, the overspray and dust left from body shop will keep it peeling off from the glue. So when both pieces are clean, but a bead up of Glue all the way across the edge and any where u might find it will help to keep it aligned. Then have a buddy or someone help you put the kit in right position and put masking tape to hold it in place. Easy as that, will never give you problems.

Having someone else do an install has everything to do with your confidence in the situation. If you dont think you can do it have somone else do it for you. Better to have it done right then have it look bad...
