You were kidding right? I hope that you were. You might be totally honest about selling a car thats in Greece, but there are many scams that start with that same openning line.

Yea, i agree this sounds like a scam... Perhaps u have a good explanation, but why do u have a U.S. spec car in Greece?

sybersam141 03-26-2004 05:23 AM

Im not trying to scam anyone. I work for the US Government and I am stationed in greece. I originally bought the car with US Specs because I wanted to bring the car back with me. Trust me I would have liked to get the European version instead of the US version because the additional hp. Anyway if anyone is seriously interested shoot me a email.

Bring the car back to the US and THEN try to sell it. You're going to have a hard time getting someone to trust you with that kind of deal. I'd definately be interested if the car was located stateside.

Your right I might just do that I just wanted to put it out there to see if anyone was interested. Do you think the price is reasonable?

Sure. But from a consumer stand point, I'd of course still try to negotiate a lower price. :)

Micro64 03-26-2004 05:51 PM

this is a scam unless you can prove it

FilippoM3 03-26-2004 05:57 PM

He works for the US government...it's impossible for him to lie !!! ;)

Vin330xi 03-26-2004 10:47 PM

If the car is in NY and you have not sold it by July or August I would be incredibally interested. But the car must be in NY so i can go check it out, in the meanwhile free :bump:

DGI 03-27-2004 12:30 AM

What part of Greece is this car? I'm Greek and will be traveling there in late May. I could check it out if anyone is really interested. I have a US spec Jeep Wrangler in Greece and due to heavy taxing it would be in my best interest to bring that car back to the US to sell it rather than sell it there. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone seriously considering this vehicle.

agisd 03-28-2004 01:18 AM

From the pic I could tell it was Greece.

Why don't you try to sell this car to somebody in Greece?

Is the car registered anywhere now?

How do you drive it?

Potentially, I could be interested...if it is in Athens, I could look at it during my next trip.

sybersam141 03-28-2004 02:35 AM

If anyone is in Athens and wants to see the car let me know and we can set something up. Other than that I don't know how else I can prove this is legit. Would a letter from my local BMW dealer where I get the car serviced mean anything? Other than that if someone is serious about buying the car plan your next vacation to greece, I could hook you up with a good hotel/ and places to go.
