The AD

phatmustang73 05-04-2004 02:27 PM

sounds too good to be true

akhbhaat 05-04-2004 02:32 PM

I'm not so sure it's a scam. It's still a two (possibly almost three) year old car. Most M3's are sold in the low 50's. 12k depreciate between 2-3 years isn't a whole lot.

I remember someone posting last week if it was possible to find an 01 M3 with under 25kmiles for around $43k and someone told him that he was in lala land.

dant 05-04-2004 03:36 PM

could be real

Its a pretty standard base M3 for 02, no extras like smg, navi, no 19s, etc. The miles are the only thing that throws it off because they are so low. If it had like 35k then the price could be true given the car.
check it out and if carfax is clear, pay 60 bucks and get it checked out at a shop.

i dont think ints a scam. Its not an awesome price either. Good but not awesome

if that isn't a great deal, do you have some current examples of awsome deals either now or from the past? ;)

flacoy2k 05-04-2004 05:55 PM

I think is a fair price.

Black107 05-04-2004 08:24 PM

Not too far fetched. Mine was $37.5k for 34k miles on an 02.

advantyper 05-04-2004 08:25 PM

It is not a bad price.. but I would see the car in person.. :)

true, could be or just someone with so much money they could care less about anything other than just dumping the car quick. my friends uncle has mad loot and he was selling 4 yamaha waverunners that were a year old with the trailer for $10k with barely any hours on them. he just wanted to sell them fast and not deal with the hassle. so the first guy who checked them out bought them without second thought.

MasterT 05-04-2004 08:32 PM

i've been to that car dealer, they sell cars with salvage title, like cars been totalled or stolen.... etc.

StreetTrixE4six 05-04-2004 08:33 PM

hmm, just realized it's a used car dealership selling. not sure if anything's up with it, but couldn't hurt to check it out

Not unheard of. My friend picked up a 2001 S600 with like 30k on it for $58,000. Talk about a deal.

fadegs 05-04-2004 09:48 PM

Hrm, I just sold my 2002 BMW M3 w/ SMG, Xenons, HK, Premium package, with 27,000 miles for $41,900

This one doesn't seem like a scam to me.

Tenchi 05-05-2004 10:35 AM

Admins......this is not an ad for a car.

bengwie 05-05-2004 08:38 PM

I have called the sales guy, and the car is salvage, but it has already been fixed.
That's too high for salvage car, usually for M3 arround $27000.
