how do u guys take care of black paint ???
cuz scratches are all over my car
|
wut year is ur car
how long have u had ur car??
|
half year...but everytime i washed the car it gets more and more
|
Gotta be careful is all
Make sure to only use products that won't scratch the paint. I have some microscratches on my finish, but they're not noticeable except in very specific lighting conditions. Basically, always use the right sponges, etc. I dry my car with a Cali Water Blade and then with a P21S Drying Towel. Then I touch up with Z-6 (my car is Zaino'd). Comes out perfect every time.
EDIT: I should note that the scratches I do have come from before I really got the hang of how to do it right. |

Black Paint Care 101
WASH -TRY and wash your car in the shade. -Rinse off car with strong stream of water, get anything that can scratch off the paint. -Use a car washing detergent such as Mother's California Gold -Keep Car wet or Soapy at all times, don't let water dry on paint -Dry with 2-3 CLEAN large terry cloth bath towels, again try to do it quickly so water doesn't dry. SWIRL REMOVAL -Use 3M Swirl Remover for Dark Cars, do one panel at a time and remove the Swirl Remover with a terry cloth towel -After the Swirl Remover use 3m Imperial Hand Glaze to fill/cover up some more minor scratches/swirls, again remove with a terry cloth towel. Buff until you hear sqeaking from the paint and the paint is deep and wet looking. WAX/POLISH -I use Meguries Gold Class and Show Car Polish. Other good ones are Zaino Bros and Xymol. Apply a medium coat, remove with a terry cloth towel. Buff till it is slippery/smooth. Car should look liquid black, and swirls/scratches should be minimal. UPKEEP -DUST the car every day with a dedicated car duster -use Mother's or Meguire's Quick Detailer to maintain the gloss. Here is a pic of my JET BLACK 328i. |
Thanx mun

Another look...
|
but the most important thing is the cloth rite...what kind should i get ???? and i dont know where can i look for fine detergent..and wax
|
the most important thing...
the most important thing is...
Keep the paint free from objects that can scratch it. Keep dust, dirt off the car. It is important that you get a Swirl Remover involved, not just a wax... the Imperial Hand Glaze will do wonders. Just make sure you use clean terry cloth bath towels. Thats it. |
jus to check though... u dont wax everytime right? i waxed a month or so ago, and am now usin meguiars polish between waxes, and the quick detail between washes. this sound aight???

Have you guys had any experience with the metallic paints? I'm wondering if the Carbon Black Metallic will be HARDER or EASIER to maintain than the glossy Jet Black. After hearing testimonials and reading the Zaino Bros. site, I'm impressed enough to go with their full like of products I think.

This is Why I won't get a Black car
