wats ur mileage so far? have u had any real bad problems
 

our bmw only has 20k+ so no idea how other e46 performs.

anyone here have high mileage? how many big problems did u have so far :idea:

15000 miles, engine is vibrating at idle, vanos is making weird ticking noise, car sounds like its running on diesel at idle.

May 02 build date. ~20000 miles. No major problems.

01/02 build date. 37,000 miles. No problems.

5/01 - 28k miles - nothing major, just window regulator (twice) and a rear bulb replaced

97000, tranny being replaced by bmw. opt for the cpo warranty

2000 328, 3x,xxx miles when traded in
-radio didn't come on when defroster was on. Dealer replaced rear window...problem solved in 1 day
-clutch had weird popping and slipping sensation...I admit it was from a lil abuse but dealer replaced under TSB.
-control arm and bushings went bad after i went over bad roads at 70 mph or after an accident. I cant remember which. dealer replaced in 1 day.


2001 330i, 28,500 miles when traded in
-oxygen sensor went bad after I dove into a pile of snow (it didnt seem that high) engine shut off. dealer fixed in a day and was all ok

2003 330i, put on 500 miles so far (6200miles now)
-brakes vibrating. warped rotors. dealer changed in a day.

23800 and no problems :)

11/01 - 54K Miles - 325i

~ 35K Miles, Brake Work (Pads)

~ 38K Miles, Window Regulator (Driver & Passenger Front)

~ 44K Miles, Heater quit working, replaced last stage resistor.

~ 48K Miles, Window Regulator (Rear Windows)

~ 50K Miles, Brake Work (Calipers)

~ 54K Miles, Currently everything is going fine *Knock on wood*

00 328Ci 67,xxx

No problems!

99 328i
 

42k and 0 problems. I know of a guy locally who has 2 BMWs each with over 250k with nothing other than general maintenance. Take care of your car and it will take care of you.

8/01 Production Date
 

All I've done to date (36,400) is replace the Front Brakes & Rotors :)

27,xxx and no problems so far.

80,000 miles and no problems ever.

29k miles only problem I've had is the sunroof cover going off it's tracks, nothing major

58000 miles and i tossed my 330ci. once the warranty expires trade it. way too many problems for the price of the car. e46 looks outdated already.

Just broke 20,000 kms and nothing's wrong with mah bimmer. I love it! :woot:

8/01 with 57,000 miles.

- Replaced thermastat
- fixed vibrations cause by HK subs (3 time)
- fixed window trims (2 time)
- air bag light cause by passenger seat belt sensor (2 time)

At least nothing major with the engine.
