Losing 5 lbs per wheel..

Hey fanatics, im looking at superleggera 19x8 at 21 lbs and asa ar1's 19x8.5 at 26 lbs. Would the reduction of 5 lbs per wheel help out alot in performance for my 323? This is what is stalling my purchase right now.Any opinions are appreciated.Trying to not spend much either.
thanks

Yes, 5lbs in wheel weight is ALOT. It's rotational mass, meaning it weighs a lot more in terms of actual weight as it needs to be rotated instead of just pulled by the car.

i went from acs type 3 (24.5 pounds each) to bbs rg-r (19 pounds each) and i definitely notice a difference when accelerating

:werd: if you want to the bets combination of performance & looks, you have to go with 18"s, screw the 19"s if you care a lot about performance.

Im stuck in the middle about performance and looks thats why im having a hard time deciding.I just want something that wont hurt my 323i performance, and something that is either a dark color rim or a rim i can powdercoat the center

I believe 1lb of unsprung weight is equivalent to 7lbs of sprung weight.

those ASA AR1's in 18" are 24lbs, 17" are 21.2lbs. If you want 19"s, go with the 5lbs lighter superleggeras.....they weigh the same as the 17" ASA's!

how much are those superleggeras?
