not sure what you mean...you would need springs regardless of sport/non-sport suspension...dampers have nothing to do w/ ride height. But, it is wise to upgrade your dampers at the same time you do the springs. Stock dampers are not designed for an agressive drop.

Your car looks good?....... do you have a after pick maybe it looks better??? btw: are those 19's????? I just dont want to look like a *****....

H&R sport springs go well with sport shocks

emthree 08-09-2005 01:13 PM

Yeh, they're 19X9 Magics. I've been lazy lately, I'll get some pictures this week.
There's no more wheel gap, and the car looks 100% better.

I just put my 325i on 19 x 8.5 in the front and 19 x 9.5 in the back...and yes, you do need to lower it. It looks ok without it, but there is a two inch gap in the fron and like half an inch in the back. The front definitely needs it and h&r's are perfect...1.4 in the front, .7 in the back....im doing it this weekend, ill post before and after pics when i get the chance...you spent the money on the rims...might as well go all the way

thanks bor how much is a new suspension gonna put me out??

lgrogan116 08-11-2005 07:49 PM

I haven't dropped mine. 3onDubs is right, the front has a gap, but the back is fine IMO. I didn't drop it because I carry passengers and it already rubs on bumps and some turns so I didn't want it to rub more. Also, I've heard the ride is really rough with 19's and a drop.

FYI, I have 19X8.5 and 19X9.5

m3-dude 08-16-2005 10:37 PM

What size tires are you all that have 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back? And how much do they rub? I found a good wheel package but i'm afraid the back tire will be too wide and rub the fenders.

And here is the link to the wheels, if anyone happens to have a picture of them on a car. They are axis hg-11. http://www.wheeldiscount.com/product.phtml?p=407

snowcatxx87 08-16-2005 10:53 PM

What is the best way with dropping it without loosing the great handling?

Or I'll do what lgrogan116 on his a4 + bmw.

I have 235/35s in the front and 235/45s in the back

kartele 08-17-2005 09:02 PM

see sig
stock sport suspension, it doesn't look too bad IMO but I am gonna lower it just to get rid of the gap

m3-dude 08-17-2005 10:25 PM

The wheels i'm looking at come with tires that are for the Front 245/35/19 and Rear 275/30/19. Anyone run the same size as that? I'm just concerned it will rub majorly.

Nelson 08-17-2005 10:50 PM

You need at least a slight drop... 19's will make your car appear even more lifted.

unionjack 08-18-2005 03:32 AM

My cab isn't dropped in my sig, but I have since dropped it and it looks way better.
