How do I remove my rear seats? (2000 323i)
 

I have a 2000 323i sedan and I'm going to install the Dension iPod trunk kit but I'm afraid I won't be able to remove my rear seats to feed the IceLink cable through the car.

I just went out to my car and briefly tugged at the rear seats. The bottom part seemed easy as it just snapped up. How would remove the top portion? I don't have the fold down seats. Does anyone have any experience with doing this with a 323i?

Any help would be great.

I just saw this yesterday and bookmarked it for myself. It is for a convertible but I suspect the steps are the same for you.

For a sedan it is so much easier than a convertible. Just take the head rests out, pull the top part towards the front and slide up.

No need to take the head rests out, just put them up some. Grab at the top corners and pull sharply and the seat back will release, the lift straight up. Note the 4 locations where the seat back slides into brackets at the bottom, you'll have to line them up to reinstall. Remove the seat bottom first of course.
