M3 steering wheel lower panel install help!

I just bought a M3 steering wheel without the upper (multifunction button) panel and the lower ("T" shape) panel. I will be transfering my existing sport steering wheel upper (multifunction buttons) panel to the M3 steering wheel. I have also purchased the M3 lower panel cover from the dealer because the M3 one is solid versus the "split" spoke my sport steering wheel has.

My question is this. I noticed on the sport steering wheel the lower spoke is fastened to the steering wheel by a couple of screws from the back like this http://www.my330i.com/photos/mod4h.jpg

However with the M3 steering wheel with a solid lower spoke, there aren't any holes in the back to put the screws in! How am I suppose to fasten the cover??

Please help

I just installed my M3 wheel yesterday, the lower panel screws in exactly the same as the old forked sports one ... just dont me an idiot like me and forget to plug the wires back into the slip ring after you recconect the airbag :(

so you are saying there are a couple holes in the back of the steering wheel where it allows me to feed the screws in? Reason I am asking is because I had seen pics of the M3 steering wheel in several ebay auctions and there are no holes in the back that I can see. Could you show me a picture of the back of your steering wheel?

Yah sure I will take some pics after i get out of class tommrow ~3-4pm west coast time if no one else posts by then, but yah it should have the exact same holes on the back as the sport wheel.

excellent!! thanks very much.

I realized the picture I was looking at in the other ebay auctions were of the horizontal spoke, not the bottom one!
