I was wondering if you guys think this is a good deal? I know its only been a a few days but i thought maybe I would get at least one reply. what do you think?

alexboy 02-02-2006 01:46 PM

maybe about 4000 grand lower to be honest ...

I have the same model and color 330 ci but an 01 5sp
118k but only selling for 17k with an extra set of m68s's (5 rims) mods include dinan intake, m3 mirrors, and 18 in e60 m5 reps

SammyV 02-02-2006 08:58 PM

would you be interested in a type of trade?

motoxdirtrider8 02-02-2006 11:51 PM

well, iam looking to get either a 02 or 03 m3, alpine white, 6spd.

and about 4k less, you are crazy, did you not see that kbb is higher than my asking price? i know kbb sometimes is inaccurate but not 4k off. Your car also has over twice as many miles and is a year older but thanks for the the reply, ha.

S2K:-) 02-02-2006 11:55 PM

No, you're price is fair. I would say with that year and miles $24-26 is about right for a private seller.

plus... :bump: for a clean lookin car

motoxdirtrider8 02-03-2006 09:03 AM

thanks, i appreciate it!!

ejc2008 02-03-2006 11:12 AM

Errr

alexboy is right... moto you're listenint to 323 who hasn't been able to sell his car either because its overpriced... kbb is ridiculously overpriced - its a guage of what dealers will charge not good for PP - use edmunds if you want

also i love how 323 comments on a "clean car" with no interior or close up pics ...

so

1) Yes i would be interested in the car
2) price on edmunds is $20,655

now here are the other stuff to concern.

demand for e46's are dwindling - prices are coming down due to lack of demand nad newer models (and leasing being cheaper)

so using these guides are eactly what it is ... it's a guide ... it doesn't mean your car will be sold at that price *shrug*.

anyhoo, i'll offer $19,250 (yes you will think its low) but it's all i can spend - i'm in NYC :D

just my 2c - don't flam eme plz

RedBarron 02-03-2006 11:24 AM

His price is not that bad. I'm selling my 01 330ci for 23K with 46K miles. I would say his price is pretty fair. And the price you got of edmunds is witout any options like sport pack, xenons and all that stuff which drive the price up to around 25K

motoxdirtrider8 02-03-2006 05:25 PM

who knows, all i know is that selling a car is a pain in the ass. Of course, the easiest thing to do would be to trade it in, but we all know how much less they would give me. I am just going to be patient and see what happens.

motoxdirtrider8 02-03-2006 05:34 PM

ejc2008, I just got a qoute on edmunds and it turned out higher than kbb when adding the options I have on my car.

Funfgang 02-03-2006 05:38 PM

I LOVE YOUR CAR!

mehh forget that...you have auto...o well..

haha...bump for a clean auto...

nuwde 02-03-2006 06:10 PM

yeah i'm looking for an 01 330ci and this is what i've observed - kbb, nada, edmunds are listing prices that are way higher than what private party buyers are willing to pay. your car may be worth that much because of the mileage/condition/resale value, but the e46 is definitely a BUYER's market.

good luck with the sale. too bad i'm looking for 5spd. bump.

1) Read note about driver's market
2) There is no way you can put that car 4 yrs old as in excellent condition which is what i think you did. I mean when I was selling my car I wanted an excuse to get the best price possible so I did excellent too but fact of the matter is on edmunds you'll do average // fair at best

that's also what a dealer would do for it anyway.

edmunds also states excellent condition is for NEW cars only. but nice car anyways.

ejc2008 02-03-2006 09:30 PM

Yeah man totally good point :D

I overpriced it to see what I can get, because title is in the mail. When it gets here in a week and a half is when I'm dropping the price because that is when i REALLY am getting rid of it. I'm just seeing if I'll get hits at that high of a price.

First off, I didn't say anything about interior. I said it looks clean. Look at the picture... IT DOES LOOK CLEAN! How can you even argue that?

And I'm not sure what I did to you to make you pick me out, but next time you want to be rude to someone do it elsewhere.

All I said was:

1. It was clean (which is unarguable)
2. The price isn't bad. (I live in Florida and I can't find any 02's much lower with those miles.) Maybe NYC is different but not down here.
3. You my friend are a douche bag. To complain about my price because I listed it high to see WHAT I COULDget out of it makes my 2 cents worthless?... I think not.

:flipoff:

ejc2008 02-05-2006 11:32 AM

How am I a douchebag? Because I pointed out that you had a conflict of interest? I do respect that you openly admit that you overpriced it :D

let's put it this way, would you buy his car at THAT price?

I'm not here sitting idly to make random comments. I only commented like that to see what price he'd reasonably sell it for because I actually want to buy a car ... anyway I'm offering $19k flat call it lowblaling or whatever :D that's all i can afford for a 330ci anyway

In Florida, Yes i would. Up in New York... Probably not.

Look at the prices of '02 330ci's down here. (with those miles) Dealer's ask $29-31 for those here

33547 is my area code. Please if you do find cheaper ones list them because I am looking. '01-up

Well why don't you buy my car for 13k and supercharge it and mod it.

ejc2008 02-05-2006 11:42 AM

If you're serious hit me up on AIM - i know a guy that is selling one cheap. I had it examined but couldn't buy it cuz shipping cost too much :/

as for buyer's market

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=334385

check these out ... no one is buying that even at that price - i mean yeah there are tons of ridiculous offers around. I checked ebay and saw some ppl wanting 30 grand for a car like that and surprise! they don't sell.

I mean if he wiats long enough, some retarded rich kid will probably buy the car but also look at the last 100 threads on this board. About 60-75% are 01, 02 330ci's ...
