Need recommendations for B&W speakers
 

Ok, I currently have B&W 603 S3s up front with a LCR600 center. Should I go with the 601s or 602.5s for the rears? They both have 6.5 inch drivers that will match the fronts and center. I figure they will take up the same amount of space. I'll be able to save money by not having to buy stands for the 601s. :dunno:

If the 602's end up cheaper than the 601+stands, go for them! You should also think about a rear center channel.

1) The 602s have 7 inch drivers, and my fronts (603 and lcr600) have 6.5 inch. Obviously I would want speakers with matching woofers all around.
2) For now I am just going to expand to a pair of rears, I may expand later.

FYI, a single rear center channel is terrible for placement and imaging. It is no wonder why 6.1 channel systems practically do not exist, and have been replaced by 7.1 systems.

Anybody else with help on which speaker to choose?

Why are you asking people for their opinion on your purchase when it seems like all you do on here is go against what everyone says?? :dunno:

How so? I am asking for opinions on two specific speakers.

602.5s unless the height isn't right. Then get 601s with stands to make them the proper height.

Though... I like the look for bookshelf speakers on stands more then small tower speakers.

go with the 801s in the front and move the 600's to the back

Better yet, by the Prestige (Nautilus) sea-shell towers and blow your friggin ears out.:P

I love my 602 s2's :D
