E87 :)

Anyone else wanna get BMW to USA import the E87 1 series? :hi:

Hedoniste 02-27-2006 10:19 AM

My mom has a 1 serie. But we live in Europa.

witeshark 02-27-2006 11:33 PM

How do you like it?

Hedoniste 02-28-2006 05:07 AM

It's a nice car. It has a good handling and the motor is good. It isn't very quick (150hp and 8.5 seconds for a 0-60mph).

Here is a shot:

What about the 130i?

chamber36 02-28-2006 09:15 AM

8.5 isnt bad for a non-sports car? 130i is probably faster.

Hedoniste 02-28-2006 01:52 PM

Yeah! The 130I is a way faster! It has 265hp and it runs @ 6 seconds for a 0-60mph. The speed limit is limited at 155mph. Here in Europa, the 1 serie is considered like a good car, but too much expensive.

He imported a 130I?

ablaz330ci 02-28-2006 02:42 PM

Well its not imported beacause he has Mexican plates and registration. If you someone there you can do the same. His family has residence in Monterey, MX.

Thanks for the pic bmwz3coupe. I like the 120d which has very good numbers for performance and economy:

Car Manufacturer BMW
Car Model 120d Sport

Body Type 5-Door Hatchback
Colour Quartz Blue Metallic

Performance [ Manufacturers Figures ]

0 - 62 mph 7.9 Seconds
Top Speed 137 mph

Transmission 6-Speed Manual

Fuel Type Diesel

Economy [ Manufacturers Figures ]

Urban 36.7 mpg
Extra Urban 61.4 mpg
Combined 49.6 mpg

And has a size closer to my E30 :thanks:

Hedoniste 03-01-2006 09:16 AM

Yeah! The 120d has nice accelerations. I have trying a 116I (bad....), a 118d with 140hp (damn, you can do drifts whitout problem because of the high torque...) and a 120d (very nice. Accelerations were like my previous E39 528I). I hope I will try a 130I one day!

witeshark 03-01-2006 10:33 PM

Haha yeah! The 130i would rock!

sammjordan 03-03-2006 12:00 AM

130i:drool:

witeshark 03-03-2006 10:41 PM

Good analogy :excited:

BreakMyWallet 03-04-2006 05:14 PM

witeshark 03-05-2006 10:30 PM

A great car. I will get one. It's a personal goal. I like the 120d
