xenon fog lights....

Do these also need ballast and igniters or do you just replace the bulbs only?

if you want to set up your fogs as hid's you need the ballast, ignitor, and bulbs

I've got a mtech bumper and the xtec kit, mounting was actually a breeze! Whole install took under 5minutes.

That's one of the advantages of the XTEC kits (as well as the Xenonflo kits and other high quality xenon kits like Philips). They only come with a ballast per side (no igniters or extra wires to worry about), so installation is a breeze. The XTEC are available at bimmerblvd.com, xenonflos at bimmian.com, and Philips at xenondepot.com.

some ballasts have the ignitpr built in. There are other oem ballasts that have this as well.

Was it a breeze because they came with brackets?

I used double sided tape and zip ties. The mtech bumper has like a hollow part between the brake ducts and lower intake. I basically got lucky and the ballasts fit perfectly in that spot, most bumpers should have something similar

I got my HID fogs from umnitza and it came with ballasts and ignitors
