Custom turbo help

Okay I want to turbocharge my 323i and need some help...
First of all I have searched but not found exactly what I'm looking for,

Okay basically I need a parts list for my car and approximate installation cost from those of you have done it.

I know i need a
t3/t4
BOV
Boost controller
Wastegate
Intercooler
piggyback
manifold
injectors
custom intercooler piping and oil lines

Main questions:
1: Software isn't really an issue... I'm a senior in software engineering but how can I edit the ECU software along with the piggyback or stand alone?

2: how do you hook up the turbo to the manifold and wastegate?

and 3: can I use the turbo manifold made for an e36?

thanks - Ben

I would say that all th parts are going to cost about 4k or so. Install and custom fab could run another 1-4k depending on the shop and their labor rates and things like that. These are all just ballpark figures.

I would go with an internal wastegate in your situation so you do not have to fab up extra pipes and things like that, it will keep your application a little simpler as well.

I have heard that the e36 manifolds will work, but I am not sure how many people have tested that. I would go with a tubular design rather than a cast manifold.

I have been turbod for about 1500 miles now, very few problems. Only problems really have to do with running no 02 sensors, so it is not a big deal.

Even though you are a software guy, you will have to have a dyno to do the tuning on and all that. Hope I was able to offer you a little help.
