LED tailights

where could i buy LED for a 2005 330i zhp? thanks

ebay, forum sponsors (jlevi or umnitza), or the dealer

AFAIK, prefacelift design (Clear/Red) LED taillights for sedans are only available through eBay made by Eagle Eyes. You will be required to specifiy that you have a facelift sedan (for the wiring harness) and may need to install load resisitors to eliminate any potential "bulb-out" warning lights on your dash.

Facelifted design (R/Clear/R) LED sedan taillights (I think made by DEPO) are available through eBay and the forum sponsors Chase mentioned, jlevi or umnitza.

Sharky06 09-23-2006 07:52 PM

Yeah they are LED but they are Amber LED not white LED

BMWPower06 09-24-2006 01:34 AM

white is very illegal ud get pulled in a second with those in the back

umnitza 09-24-2006 02:26 AM

white can be done but you have to pay for the labor.

i actually wanted to do the same thing as him...

the reason:

I have 6k xenon headlights, 6k xenon fogs, and 6k led turn signals up front so that everythign matches. And, since I have 6k leds up front, I also have them on the sidemarkers and in the rear turn signals so that whne i turn on my turn signals, they are all the same color (would look kinda stupid with white up front and amber on the side and the rear)... so i looked around trying to figure out if i could have the leds altered on led tails.

A buddy of mine who does a lot of work with electrical engineering said it could be done but woudl be near 500 dollars in total for the parts and labor. I simply can't afford that.
