AA Stage II - ZHP

Please be gentle as this is my first post. I recently purchased a stage II c38 kit from Jean at AA. Got it in the mail on Friday and dropped my car off on Monday at my local shop. I can't tell you how excited I am to get her back. Should be a totally different car after the blower and the cat back exhaust I got from AA. The real purpose of this post is to say thank you to the board for providing such great information. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have taken the "next step" and I am greatly appreciative. Car should be ready on Friday and will have her Dynoed in a few weeks. My buddy who has a WS6 is getting worried he won't have the fastest car in our group of friends anymore. I find it funny.

Once again, thanks to everybody on the board for the great information posted here.

i say you have around 500h/p with 388lbs of torq.0 to 60 is 4.1 sec.1/4 mile should be 12.1 sec. to give you some numbers.... did you get headers for your ride ? that would wake up your engine to.....i love my system i have the same one as you but i have headers to with my ride... ir screams when i let her go... happy driving her... let us know how you make out with your friend ride to.....happy to have you in the forum and the blown family to.....

Congrats. Make sure you can handle the power....

Thanks a lot for the kind words. I decided against headers since it will be a DD and I don't wanna have any emission issues. If anybody knows any systems that I won't have a problem in TN, let me know. (Don't want to do the "friend" method either) I'm going to drive her for a bit and see how my traction is treating me. Currently running 255 mich ps2's, which I really like. I'll probably end up getting a LSD, but know little to nothing about them. I've seen people getting some systems from Diffsonline and a couple of others. Anybody wanna chime in on what they have used? Cost say $2,500? What kind of locking ratio? Stick with the 3.07 gears? or change them to say 3.46? I want to keep a stock look as much as possible. I'm all about the "suprise" factor. My old man has a 996 C4. He doesn't know I am getting it put in. I told him, we should run on the interstate sometime because I think my car is faster than his. He laughed at me. Looks like I'll be laughing next week.

I'll get some pictures of her in a week or so and post some up. Also, to give a little background on her. I got rear ended about 2 years ago. Dude was doing like 40 mph and didn't hit the brakes. $10k worth of body damage (front and back) but one thing let to another and a bolt came out of the oil system, put metal filings thru the engine. BMW couldn't prove it was because of the wreck and I got a brand new engine because of it (warranty covered it all). So my car has 71k miles but the engine has roughly 30k.

Once again, thanks for all the information you guys have posted on her. It's a wealth of knowledge.

Bob,

I only have a Zhp, no M3. I'm hoping for around 340-350 whp and 285 torque at the wheels. I'd love to have the numbers you posted though. I'm looking for a 13 flat 111 mph 1/4. (probably need a LSD for that though)

beanfree 05-14-2008 11:08 PM

I kept the stock gear ratio with the LSD from Turner. Price was well within your budget. Congratulations on the car. I am sure it will meet your expectations.

congrats

Well, she won't be ready on Friday , but everything is going smoothly so far. I will pick her up next week and can't wait. Exhaust is on and the kit is about halfway done. ECU is in Miami currently. Took a couple of pictures while she wasn't clothed.
