I'm going to get one this year, but will probably wuss out and going with a complete rifle, rather than a build. I'm a little intimidated to do a build, given my unfamiliarity with the AR's. I'll probably end up with RRA or Bushy (hopefully less than $1k).

A buddy of mine is in the process of completing his build. Got the barrel for it and when he fitted it to the body the sight didn't line up. Seller guaranteed it would....oh well. He's going to take it to a gunsmith to get it fixed instead of waiting another several weeks in shipping.

I do not know much about them, I just found a few people who did and they recommended my guy. It was confirmed when I went to the gun show and saw about 50 people hanging around his booth. |

I wouldn't say thats a great way to detect quality, esp. in the AR world. Generally the big crowds are around the CHEAP parts. AR-15's can get spendy, and the good parts cost $$$$. The "stock" parts are fine and top notch, and if you choose to customize make sure you buy the top of the line. Bushmaster is very good. For beginners, #1 join ar15.com, probally one of the biggest sites on the web, there are 200,000 members I believe. #2 buy a whole rifle complete. Build your second one. Makes for a much easier time after you see how it all goes together. |
Stick to the ABC's of AR's....Armalite, Bushmaster and Colt!
LMT is good sh!t too! |
