Installing alarm today and it has a built in turbo timer. How long to set if for?
 
Installing viper alarm today and you can set the turbo timer for 1,3,5,7,10 minutes? What do you guys suggest?

EDIT: I guess you'll have to settle for 3 minutes then.

Can you change it easily, or is it a set amount after you turn off your car each time?

3 minutes is probably a bit excessive. I think 1 min should be fine. My Supra's owner's manual only said to idle the car for 30 seconds before turning it off...

F.W.I.W. I've asked Chris about this, and he said about 2 minutes if you were driving the car hard, and 1 min. or less if you weren't getting on it at all.

They're really handy when your running late. Otherwise you should be sitting in the car waiting for the oil to cool so it doesn't coke up in the turbo.
