Did I install it right?? pics

I installed koni yellow shocks.
I didn't know what to do with the dot in the picture...... how far should it sit? where is it supposed to face?? |
that dot is suppose to go in betweeen the groove where you put the bolt through.
|
also its hard to see but I am wondering if that shock has to come down some more.
|
when you align the dot with the slot caused by the bolt gap - the strut will drop down (you may have to force it down/force the control arm brake assembly up) about 1/2" to 3/4"

yeah that bump is supposed to go in the slot where the pinch bolt pinches.
and most people use a jack to push the control arm up. |
jack yes, if not avail use strength
|
I found it easiest to support the control arm with a jack, insert the lower end of the strut into the collar while the upper strut mount isn't bolted to the tower, tighten the lower bolt, and then raise the control arm while guiding the upper mount into position.
