Post pics of your LCD/Plasma Stands/ Setups
I am having a really hard time deciding how to install my new lcd/home theater set up... I have a 52" LCD... I can either mount it on the wall and get a low stand to hold the equipment, or I can get a stand and put the tv on stop and put all equipment inside. I need something expresso colored hopefully, and something that will hold a receiver, direct tv reciever, blu ray player, xbox 360. I also have floor standing speakers, as well as a center speaker that needs to go inside the stand if the tv will sit on top or could sit on top of stand if tv mounted on wall... I just don't know what to do or what stand to go with. I have been going back and forth for the past week and half about it. It also has to be modern....
so anyways, post up pics of your lcd/plasma stands/installation or pics you have that you think look good... tia oh, and i am aware there is a thread already titled "post pics of your home theater setup" but that thread is old, not many responses, and most pics dont work anymore. so don't refer me to that thread, thanks. |
Probably not what your looking for considering I still live with my parents and my room isn't like a living room or master bedroom. I just did this set up a few days ago. I just need to buy an HDMI cable to hook up my PS3 to my tv. Plus I still have to hide all the wiring.

there are some nice console tables/HT pieces on there that can be mix-n-matched for your needs. Plus they're strong enough to support a big tv. Ikea has some decent ones but most can only handle 110lbs. There was one that I liked in the 2009 catalog if you have it or have an Ikea nearby to pick one up. It's called the Besta Jagra TV Bench and it can handle 220lbs, but it doesn't have a spot for a center channel. (model no. 601.057.06 in Beech for $150) There's also the Lack TV Bench that comes in a Black/Brown finish that can handle 143lb and only costs $70 (model no. 201.053.41) |
I'll get some tommorow. Visiting two possibly three job sites. They have multiple displays all over the place.

thanks guys
i actually did check ikea, but the only one that didnt look cheap/flimsy was the besta unit, and unfortunately it is too small (and no central area for a center speaker) |
tvs should be mounted at eye level

I have heard the rule about buying a tv screen based on where you sit. But is there a rule on the eye level ? I know you are in the business, I always have an ear for the experts. :hi: |
