FCAB question

I just got my control arms in and looked at the writeup to do the replacement and realized I should have got the kit with the FCABs. Doh! Now I am looking at getting the Meyle HD ones but have a question. I have a 2001 325Cic and can't find a straight answer as to order the 60 or 66mm ones. But I found ones with the retainers at 66mm. Can I use those no matter what? Even if the stock ones are 60?

Thanks - Keith

I think the 66mm are for ZHPs, I could be wrong though. Contact Ruben at Desert Motorworks, he'll help you out.

No, mid 2001 all e46 switched from the 60 to 66 mm. This is part of the reason it can be tough for 2001 cars to figure out exactly what they have because it could be either.

I believe that as long as you are getting the 66 mm bushings pre-pressed in the carriers that you should be fine. I would verify that with whoever you purchase from though. Ruben at DMW can take care of you for sure.

I see, thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks guys! I ordered some through bavauto and there wasn't a choice with the bushings and retainers so I hope I got the right one!

You know what you can do? You can call a BMW parts shop, say you're looking for some OEM bushing replacements and they'll ask for your VIN, then you'll know for su---------

oh, nevermind, you already ordered some.
