General

For sale is my beloved BMW that you may have seen transform quite significantly over the years. The time, though, has finally come to let it go. I thought I'd own this car forever and eventually prepare it for track-only duty but the economy and logistics of doing that just doesn't make sense. I am the first and only owner and there are no liens on the car -- I have the title in hand. Most of the mileage on the car comes from highway driving; the car has seen limited track time, too. I would very much like to see this car go to a fellow fanatic who can appreciate it fully!

Condition
The car is in excellent condition. The exterior is has only a few minor dime-sized dings with absolutely no scratches in the paintwork of any significance. The interior is clean with little to no signs of wear. Mechanically, the car runs flawlessly -- this car has been issue-free throughout its entire life. I have used only the best fluids (Motul, Redline, etc).

Extras
Because this car was quite modified not too long ago, I decided that the next owner should receive some of the modifications that make owning and driving this car so enjoyable. Also, when removing some of the aftermarket parts, I took the time to replace many parts that are often sources of normal wear and tear. With many used cars there's the hidden cost of parts needing replacement due to wear; I've done my best to replace parts to reduce this cost to you. Here is a list of the extras you will receive:
ZHP Suspension Components
New OEM Front Suspension Top Mount Hardware
New OEM Rear Suspension Top Mount Hardware
New Front Control Arms (MeyleHD/OEM)
New Front Rotors (Zimmerman/OEM)
OEM M3 Mirrors
OEM Clear Front Reflectors
UUC Motorwerks EVO3 Short Shift Kit
Active Autowerke Custom Software
Powerflex Polyurethane Front Control Arm Bushings
Xtec Xenon Fog Lights (3000K Color Temperature)
Umnitza Halo Rings (Remote triggered)
AC Schnitzer Rear Roof Spoiler
Sapphire Black Roof
Sapphire Black Window Trim
OEM Auxilary Input
OEM European Center Slide Compartment
8 Qts of Redline 5W30 Engine Oil & Filter

Price
My asking price is $20,000. Given that you'll be receiving a nice selection of aftermarket and OEM upgrades, I believe this is a very competitive and reasonable price to ask. You even get what you need to do your first oil change!

Please email me at jcovit(at)gmail.com if you are interested or have questions.

Car will be going up on AutoTrader soon and possibly eBay to follow. Mileage is now at 59,XXX which just shows how little I drive this car now -- only 2,000 miles in about 4 months! I am very flexible on my asking price. I have to purchase an engagement ring soon so I need the cash for a very special girl who I've been dating for nearly 6 years. She's getting antsy. :)

Anyway, I have taken the time to replace some additional parts that would have been fine to keep but weren't to my satisfaction. The front intake snout is new as is the trunk's floor carpeting. The headliner has been completely cleaned and looks like the day the car was bought. I will be cleaning up the car this week and will post a complete set of pictures showing every angle of the car.

Please PM me with any questions or you can email me at jcovit(at)gmail.com. Again, my asking price of $20,000 is flexible within reason!

Sorry man. I am going to sell the car as-is. I'm done swapping parts.

And to those who think my asking price is high, please know that I am flexible within reason so feel free to send offers my way. My car is in excellent condition, comes with a nice selection of modifications and I have put a good amount of effort into ensuring that typical wear items have been replaced ahead of the sale so that the purchaser does not get hit with unexpected costs.

And of course you can find a pre-2002 M3 with high mileage in OK condition for around the same price. If high mileage and so-so condition is acceptable to you, be my guest. But you should, however, also consider the cost of owning an M-car. Take the brake system as an example. For an M3 you'll spend over $900 for rotors/pads/sensors/etc whereas for the 330Ci the same package runs just under $350. Control arms for the M3 will cost you $600 versus just over $350 for the 330Ci. Oil is double the price. See my point?

The following items have under 2,500 miles on them:
- Front Control Arms & Bushings
- Front Strut Mounts
- Rear Strut Mounts
- Front Rotors

The following items have under 10,000 miles on them:
- Sway Bars & Bushings
- Front & Rear Struts/Shocks/Spring
- Rear Rotors
- Clutch

In these economic times, its important to consider all costs associated with the purchasing of a vehicle. I do genuinely believe that my car represents a great value for the package you will get. I'm even going to include everything you need to do your first oil change with Redline fluids!
