Finally, got an after dyno run done AA s/c kit on 330

I finally got the after dyno run done. I have the AA TS kit (no longer in production) with headers, cams and w/a injection. As I've posted before, I've been having a minor SES light issue. It doesn't seem to be a major issue since the car runs great, just a minor annoyance. I think I'm close to figuring it out.

I had my car dyno'd before but it was over 100 degrees and muggy outside.

So today with good weather, 345 whp and 300 lb/ft torque on a dyno jet. Same operator, same dyno.

Basline - 195whp/198tq 50 degrees
After - 345whp/300tq 68 degrees

Gain +150whp/102tq

Enjoy the power.

Looks good. Enjoy and drive safe.

Nice!

Good to hear it making some good power

aggieE46 12-08-2008 10:24 AM

Woot! Nice job!

Dude thats not bad!! Congrats. Ya gotta love TSs torque look at how max torque hangs in the 4K to 6K rpm range.

loayo 12-08-2008 10:52 AM

Wow that is awesome. I used to have a 330ci and then went to an m3 and it seemed like a noticeable difference in acceleration. I cannot imagine my 330ci with 50 more horses than my m3 and the added torque.

I hope you have some 10+ in wide wheels to keep that on the ground ;)

Regards,
Loay

Thanks everyone:hi:

Yeah, you can really feel it in the 4k-6k range. It just takes off. The problem is traction, especially coming out of right turns. I colldn't imagine what a 3.46 would do. I have the stock 2.93.

I can only fit 255s on the back. My OEM 17's do an okay job during a launch.

The extra power is nice but the M3 puts it down a lot better. I rode with my instructor in his M3 at the driving school I went to. I'm sure skill had something to do with it but the M3 put the power down a LOT better in a much more confidence inspiring manner.

I was always hesitant to really get on the throttle because either DSC would kick in or I'd be in the grass. I really need an LSD.

Awesome numbers!

Honestly though, if you aren't a skilled driver, and LSD could possibly put you in the grass easier than an open diff would.

That's why I drove slow.

sorry I meant to say "a" lsd, not "and", meaning that if you are spinning the car around with an open diff, in many cases it might just spin around even faster with the LSD

BreakMyWallet 12-09-2008 01:31 AM

damn!

awesome numbers man

bmxrider945 12-09-2008 01:35 AM

NICE NUMBERS...im assuming the price tag on those total mods were about 10k+??

AMG-ETR 12-09-2008 09:09 AM

any engine bay shots? Those are some great numbers !

HPFMTRE 12-09-2008 09:14 AM

VERY healthy indeed

bigjae1976 12-09-2008 12:41 PM

Again, thanks everyone for the compliments! But I just drive it. AA, UED, and Soul Speed (the shop that did the install) all did an excellent job.

Since I didn't mention it before, I also have AA FI cams, AA headers, and magnaflow cats in place of the front resonators. I still have the OEM exhaust.

I bought everything used from UED. I was going to get the C38 kit and be done with it. But Garrett gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. New, everything would have been over $12k.

Here you go...

At the dyno day, no one knew I was blown until they announced the numbers. I like the stealth look although an ESS TS kit with a black compressor would look even stealthier.

LSD will help. I fit wider tires (275's) in the rear with a little rolling and Neez Eurocross Wheels. Get R comps and then you will see the difference.

Of course my driving skills are top notch so I can definitely take advantage of the extra grip.

Yeah right...:bawling:
