02 325i automatic did i buy a dead end car??

Can i really do anything with this car for more torque?? oh and to mention its an automatic?? has about 82,000miles on it??

in short, yes. sorry.

there are superchargers out there with boost levels specifically for automatic cars. any more than ~300whp and the tranny will not like it. if i were in your shoes, i wouldn't spend a dime on performance if it wasn't a supercharger. even then, i'd be hard pressed to pursue it.

Hey I have a 325i with about 75k and its Step. I was close to paying off my car, so I din;t want to start new payments all over again by buying another one. Besides I have taken care of it fanatically since I got it used at 40k miles from an Old lady.

Do you have sports package? If not invest on some nice suspension and & some light 18" wheels, they totally transform your ride. Mine feels so much better now & the 18 inch wheels are not just for cosmetic looks, they improve the handling amazingly.

325 is definitely a nice daily driver unless you want to track it or burn rubber at every traffic stop.

yes there is a a sc for auto...but if you want to really enjoy the quality of driving a bmw then get a true manual or do a swap.

I have looked into sc for step for many months but decided otherwise.

Safe is hard to say...depends on driving style i assume

but from browsing e46fanatics the last year and the treads that discuss how weak the step tranny is...i wouldnt do it.
of course there are other members that say their tranny is 100k and going strong...well all i can say is, ask them how they drive.

some of us are defensive drivers and others are speed deamons. I think it really does play a major role for the life of a tranny or car to be exact.

this is from someone that decided a swap was better and cheaper option than getting another car.

but in the end it all depends on how you want to drive the car. if you have the funds anything is possible. if your limited then take in consideration the options out there.

Some may look at it as a waste of money other look at it as a hobby.

I love doing things to my car and yes its a pretty $ hobby.
