Sony KDL-32L4000 Help

So, a couple of days ago my Sony started acting up. The menu flashes on and off on its own, and I can't control it. When I press the menu button, the menu goes away then returns immediately; it goes off at its leasure!:bawling:

This happens with every button I push on the controler and on the TV unit itself. Has anyone who has this model or any other Sony experienced this problem, and how did you resolve it? This is particularly annoying and disappointing as I only bought the TV on X-mas eve!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Allan

Go here and ask the question as well and you'll probably get a pretty good answer.

its called the screen was made by Samsung. I personally was going to buy the M4000, but talked with my repairman who works at my work (Circuit City) and all of Sony's tv's 37 and below are made by samsung with samsung components. Did I mention that Samsung has a bad repair rate??? LG and Toshiba dont though, nor do Sonys (the ones made by sony). Your processor is toast.

My processor is toast? Does that mean it's time to activate the warranty? I've not had the thing 2 months and barely even watch it - 2-3 movies a week, plus PS3 for maybe 5 hours on the weekends. This sure does suck!

Do you have any actually data to back these claims up?

Yeah, the 100's of claim tickets from Steve Vair replacing bad screens and processors from Samsung products and its subsidiaries. I cant count how many we have had to repair.

and by the way, now is the time to call sony for warranty work. tell them exactly what is happening and make sure you can reproduce it
