Exhaust Question.

What will be louder?

2.My Current Setup

Headers, first resinator, and Rogue Ikon

2.Second Setup

Headers, 2 glass packs in place of resinator, and Rogue Ikon

i guess #2.. if you want it to be LOUD, get straight pipes :eeps:

Sound clip?

That can't be that loud... Are the OEM cats still in place?

No OEM cats

I imagine the glass packs would muffle more than the resonators but i may be wrong

CWABimmer 02-13-2009 10:38 AM

that's tricky
I would guess number 2 with Turk (because you don't have cats) but I could be completely wrong
You could try and lets us know Swinny!

Some cats would quiet it down a lot...

A lot of your noise is coming from that.

A racing cat then.

Seriously though. Taking your cats out is not making your car faster most of the time. Flooring it above 5 or 6K sure. Driving around town the torque sacrificed along with the power curve moving east means it's a touch slower...

ANy recomendations? Also the cats come off my car as soon as you remove the OEM headers

E46 330ci has in header Cats? I thought only the E46 M3 was like that.

Random Technologies makes nice cats. Little pricey but very nice.

What size piping do you have? Some guys have good luck with some of the eBay 'racing' cats. Very high flow but at least clean it up a little bit.
