What Exhaust AA G3 v/s UUC TSE3
Ok, so last friday afternon a laidy rammed into by back bumper causing a few scratches and by OEM exhaust to bend (looks SH!T now, actually never looked good at all) so the car is in the shop waiting for an estimate and the shop told me what exhaust I wanted to replace it with (bein a friend of mine who owns the shop sure helps) so I really dont know what way to go. Before all this accident BS happened I was thinking of going with the famous "KPENG EXHAUST" but since the accident that idea has gone out the window and im tighed up between the AA G3 (1st picture below) or the UUC TSE3 (2nd picture below).
Saw a video of the AA exhaust on their website and I must say it sounds nice at hi rpm but it sounds very quiet at idle (not too sure if I'm liking that), also heard the UUC on the shopd owner m3 (e36) and 328 (e46) and the idle is a lot rougher and at hi rp they are about equal. uuc if you want some noise.

UUC with headers is likely to make your ears bleed.

UUC + headers = Big no no. You will go deaf, and get a ticket in the process.
I guess my choice would be obvious. |
AA or Rogue Ikon are good choices here.

I have the AA exhaust with headers.. but I'm also SC'd. I'll also say that TSE3 with headers is a bit too loud...

Thank David the Only issue im having with the AA G3 is that its not loud at all @ low rpms but its sounds quite nice @ WOT so that what im mainly debating.

Might want to consider the TSE3 light. I'm not sure how much quieter it will be vrs the full TSE3 though.

in houston i have to pass(but not the sniffer!)to drive. i'd like to do something; thinking hard about the borla catback and do the shifter upgrade at the same time, as you need to remove the muffler to install it. any thoughts will be appreciated! |
I'm able to run headers because I ordered a set and got the wrong ones and had to buy a second set and they were the right ones....it was a PITA but well worth it.....haven't picked up my car yet from the shop (pick up is @ Monday at 10 am)...I didt like the way the Borla sounded dunno why it just didnt appeal....ill post a sound clip 2morro.....

I realize that UUC w/ ebay headers will be really loud (how loud?)...but how does it sound? Does it sound like pure straight 6 goodness?
