Hmmm >:)

Well well, I was looking at pics of the E500 we have in DR and I do like the lower part of the bumper... here is a pic of that followed by what I might do.... second and third pics show the differences in the grill. I'm leaning towards chrome.

WOahhhh. GREAT idea i think that looks really really cool

Why dont you try using matte black vinyl tape to tape it off and see how you like it in person???? I think you should give it a whirl :hi:

Solidjake 06-05-2009 11:01 PM

Yea, so far I'm like 99.9% about to do it.

Levim9 06-06-2009 12:05 AM

Thats a really neat idea. I like it

I dont think totally blacked out grills look good.

I do :dunno: A flat NON-gloss black will look good. I know the grills look overwhelming in the OPs pick but with the black lower bumper, it should work and flow well

I like it. Great Idea

So my next question: On the E500 we had some crazy rubber put on it. It is very durable and I think reversible. I'm gonna call my guy and find out what he did. That rubber is matt of course. Should I do that or have it painted like a gloss black?

skang330 06-06-2009 11:07 AM

I like it! I just need the bumper now lol

Safar 06-06-2009 11:49 AM

Do it!

albeee 06-06-2009 11:58 AM

like it...it looks angry AAARRGGHHHH

RSteckhahn 06-06-2009 12:08 PM

spray the bottom part of the bumper with bedliner... I used bedliner on my jeep's bumpers, it came out real nice.

B33MER 06-06-2009 12:11 PM

Looks good bro  Do Eeeeet!!!

GoingNuts 06-06-2009 12:14 PM

Looks broken from afar. People will see it as accident damage.

Sledgehammer RTI 06-06-2009 12:17 PM

Hmmm interesting idea...i kinda like it. Your best bet is to vinyl it in black so if you dont like it you can take it off.

Go to Home depot and try plasti-dip. Its the same stuff that coats the handles on pliers and the like, it has that rubbery texture your talking about.

:slap:

:lmao:

I like the idea on the silver grey car. Give it a go and lets see. Do vinyl like everyone else is saying first, just in case you don't like it.

albeee 06-06-2009 01:08 PM

maybe the vinyl or rubber paint(?) would work better than gloss paint, i dunno. it's matte, which would kinda contrast with the silver, and you can use it as a "clear bra" of sorts, once this one is all chipped and faded, put in a new one!
