Securing Single Din HU

Hey Fanatics,

I recently swapped my stock HU with a JVC avx77 and when doing the install with the centered dash kit I noticed that there is no real good way to secure the radio from sliding out. Is there a good solution for this that I just don't know about? I searched around but could not really find anything. I saw that there is a metal frame that does this for the double din install kit but I couldn't find anything similar for the single din. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did the JVC HU come with a metal rectangular box? When I have installed aftermarket HUs in the past, this metal box has tabs that you have to push out in order to "catch" on the opening where you are placing the new radio. It is the tabs that secure the radio to the opening in the vehicle.

Hope this helps.

Thanx for the help man. That worked out great. I've installed about 4 aftermarket HU's in my lifetime and have never used that metal frame that comes with them because I've always been able screw the radio into the frame for the car. I always found that to be the more secure way of installing it. I didn't even think to use the metal frame that came with the radio for this install.
