Shark Injector/ Dinan Stage 2/ AA Software; Do they Remove ZHP Flat Spot?

I am looking in to fixing the dead/flat spot around 4,000 rpm on my ZHP. I know I can get the DME reprogrammed by BMW but my car has 116K, no chance I could get it free. My question is does any of the software, such as the Shark Injector, Dinan, or Active Autowerke actually fix the flat spot? I searched and found conflicting answers. I like the idea of the shark because it's cheaper than Dinan Stage 2 as far as I know and I could do it at home. I would get Stage 2 because I just got a used Dinan CAI. I like the AA software but don't want to ship my DME away. I am mainly looking for the improved throttle response, and redline. IS the raised redline with Dinan or Shark actually useful on a zhp with the cams or does the power band die up high? :thanks: everyone

I've got the Dinan stage 3 software, and although, I think, that the power does die high, the improved throttle response and higher redline do add to a greater driving experience.

I didnt know you had to ship the DME away if you get the AA software? hmm

I did AA and have been happy with it up until when the dealer flashed over it without asking me. My DME is being shipped back off overnight air to AA tomorrow for a re-flash.

Does anyone know anyway to detect if a car has been chipped. My car had two P/O's and I have a suspicion... It seems like it revs to 7,000, it doesn't stop until the end of the tachometer basically. I know the zhp is supposed to be 6800, zhp owners any input?

Interesting, I have experienced once when I raced with a CLK350, my needle ran all the way to 7000rpm without cutting power. I don't know if you had the software update from dealer yet, may be all ZHP has no power cut even over 7000rpm after the software shipped to NJ for reflash :loco:
