i might be able to go, some of the others are wanting to put something together under the South Carolina thread lets see if we can combine our meet, BTW i just noticed, we are twins. you don't see that many white ZHP's, and so close.

jblack03zhp 07-21-2009 08:41 PM

Yea that definitely sounds great if we could.
Ha well what do you know. Thats pretty awesome, I think I've only come across 1 other white ZHP.

Please keep the updates available on this thread or in the "charlotte nc bimmer family" thread on the 'fest.

I believe I have found a couple possible meeting places.

After searching seems like Mt. Mitchell is about an hour from any civilization. Both possible places are easily accessible and have plenty of parking to accommodate:

1) The Ingles on Tunnel road in Asheville. There's a McDonald and plenty of parking lot to accommodate. Its across from the VA Hospital.
2) The Walmart in Marion. Enough said, Walmart.

If you care to mapquest, addresses:
Mt. Mitchell: 2388 State Highway 128 Burnsville, NC 28714
Ingles in Asheville: 1141 Tunnel Rd Asheville, NC 28805
Wal-Mart in Marion: 364 US 70 W Marion, NC 28752

If we want to jump straight on to the parkway, the ingles is great. We can ride the parkway and get off at 80 or got past little switzerland and get off 226; and then towards burnsville/mt mitchell.

But on the other hand if we start in marion, get on 80 (which is crazy curvy), skip getting on the parkway, we'll come out on micaville. then just hang a left and go towards burnsville/mt mitchell. I know mapquest shows 226 on this route, but that way is soooo boring!! We'd no doubt get behind a farm truck do 30-40 mph.

I haven't been to mt michell in years, but I'm very familiar with all the back roads and parkway around this area (Burnsville, Asheville, Marion). Other route options are available. There's a restaurant in little switzerland ( right off the parkway), mt mitchell has a restaurant (never eaten there) and lots of places (mainly fast food) in burnsville.

Cool thanks for the insight! On BF it seems the Ingles/Asheville route is the choice. But we're just waiting for more response.
