Pics of my Matte Black 19"s: 19x9 ET 32 & 19x11 ET 25 lowered on Ground Control Coilovers / GC camber plates / GC ARCA's -1.0 camber up front and 1.75 camber in the rear. I even weighed my 19"s before installing them. Fronts weighed in at 24lbs and rears at 25lbs!!! Not too shabby for 19"s!

Here's some info about the wheels from the Modbargains website:
ModBargains is proud to offer you the BRAND NEW FORGESTAR Wheel Lineup with the latest technology in wheel production to bring you the best of both worlds. This brand new lineup utilizes a combination of the best methods of forging and casting methods both in the same wheel. This is called Flow Form Casting, and is used by companies such as BBS and Enkei. These wheels are made to order and can be made to fit your BMW with a large range of offsets.

Flow Form Casting is a production procedure that turns the wheel (or rim section) over a special mandrel and three hydraulic rollers using tremendous pressure. The pressure and turning then force the rim area to form against the mandrel, creating the shape and width of the rim. During Flow Forming, the rim actually "flows" down to create the full rim width. During Flow Forming, pressure applied to the cast rim actually changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel.

Sorry, GB is only for 18's right now. IF this one goes well I can try and set something up for the 19's!

Whats the widest I can go in the rear? And what offsets would I need. Looking at 8.5 up front and ?? in back? Staggered of course. Want it to be a neutral tire size...no stretch...about 2 inches of sidewall. I have no idea about wheels. Just engines...Excuse the lack of knowledge.

tiloulou330i 01-12-2010 08:02 AM

I'm interested but I don't track my car.I just would like to know if they're gonna be strong enough for street application. Are they?????if yes I want 18X8 et40 and 18X9 et47 titanium.

ALwAyS4SaLe 01-12-2010 09:58 AM

available with tires?

For the car listed in your sig, I would recommend F 8.5 ET 35 and R could go 9.0 or 10.0 ET 35-38 with a 245/40 up front and 275/35 in the rear. This would be a good set up for the street.

The wheels are SAE approved, check original post for info and link. I will add you to the list!!!

Let me find out if they can get tires. Shipping would be more expensive though. I would recommend just getting the wheels and mounting tires near you. But i will still find out.

Remember guys and gals, the price of the wheels depends on how many confirmed buyers when the group decides to go ahead with the purchase. You can change your mind on widths and offsets if you like if you are undecided. Lets get the list going and add some more names!!!

They are 01R's.

novaboi323i 01-12-2010 04:31 PM

will there be a deposit required if you get on the groupbuy? do the wheels have a more concave face with a lower offset? such as 18x9.5 et30-35?

Snik 01-12-2010 04:37 PM

they look nice when concaved. but seem to need a deep offset to have that concave look.

I'll have to see if we can find his original order, but I think he did 18x8.5 and 18x9 rear - for his sedan. Again when your orders come in we will work with you depending on your suspension, what you want to achieve etc.

As to concavity it's really the width you choose - with the E46 I would imagine it being a 19x10 rear high offset will give you a deep concavity. One thing you will notice, is the concavity is a true concavity - it starts from the begining of the spokes and goes into center, it doesn't just drop in starting from middle like some wheels a 'cup like' concavity.

Again not the offset as the factor but the with.

On a side note something that I forgot to address - besides it passing higher then TUV, yes the wheels are also stamped and passed JWL and VIA of course - really easily. All testing data is shown in links - one of the few wheel manufacturers out there that hasn't hidden their testing information and shares it with the public.
