urgent help needed!!!

guys, i need your help urgently!
i was doing one of the easiest DIYs and ended up making, what i think, could be the costliest of screwups.

i was doing the oil and oil filter change DIY on my '02 325i. i went below the car. removed the crash guard covering the fuel filter and stuff....but, i couldn't locate the 17mm bolt for the oil pan anywhere......i was blind may be........after all the search i found a pan that looked to me like "oil pan".......this had a drain plug.........which was a Torx 40........i never realized what i was getting into.....i opened the screw and drained all the oil..........thatz not the end.......i went on to fill 7 cans of engine oil in the engine........i drove the car for 2 miles may be......it was jerking.........i didn't know what was happening.....then it showed a
"! D" symbol on the dash.....after this i drove may be 500 feet and parked the car in my friend's parking lot............now,
1. my car has double quantity of engine oil (don't know what the old was already in there......i added MOBIL 1 5-w30).......and
2. there is no ATF at all......

please, please, please help me out of this.........thanks a million in advance......you guys are great....

help like how? come over and do it for you?

fill the tranny back up, drain and refill the oil. perhaps getting your dad to help this time would be better..

Chris-TK 02-14-2010 01:48 PM

Try and fill the tranny and pray to god you didn't destroy it and then drain and refill with NEW oil Mobil 1 0W40 (not the 5W30 you put in that's the WRONG oil).

Wow... Incredible. Are you serious or is this just a joke?

Dude, it's an oil change. It used to be a requirement in some states to have decent knowledge of your engine before you get your license. Maybe that wasnt such a bad idea.

royceyokono 02-14-2010 02:10 PM

oil extractor ftw.

flyinj3x 02-14-2010 02:12 PM

you know, if the op leaves the four gallons of oil in the car, and stacks three oil filters on top of one another, he could get by without changing his oil for another two years..

brb.. gotta go, ah, change my oil..

xi325xi02 02-14-2010 02:21 PM

Op- Hows the tranny?

firefirefire90 02-14-2010 03:04 PM
