they'll fit, with some modifications to your suspension. but trust me, it will look pretty stupid with some big fvckin wheels on a 3. tonka toy lookalike like the guy above me ^

nightrunner20 02-15-2010 03:59 AM

20's would look like a Tonka Toy.

19's and NO higher.

mpower_m3 02-15-2010 04:04 AM

20 will fit but with a little modification. 19s will fit okay however they look too big on the e46 sedan and will be too heavy for it. 18s with 40 profile on the fronts and 35 on the rears will look like 19s if you know what you're doing. i wouldnt go above 18s for the e46 sedan imho.

As much as I hate endorsing people adding chrome to their car, someone would be getting a pretty good deal if you'd be willing to swap black trim for chrome. Most peoples cars on here came with chrome trim around the windows.

Oh, and the obligatory "2010 member with a chrome and 20" fetish".

NYC'z Mr.e46 02-15-2010 07:07 AM

NYC'z Mr.e46!!! On the ebay link below, will the 10" rears actually fit on an 2003 e46 coupe without modifying the arch or suspension as these may be the wheels you have?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT :drool::drool::drool:

I was thinking of getting wide rears as mine gets a lil too tail happy in the wet/ice/snow...!!Anything apart from a perfectly dry road to be honest :tsk:

To the OP, you really dont need 20's, it will have the turning circle of an oil tanker and be slow as foook off the line!! 19s max I say!!:loco:

Chris

Lol at the typo in the eBay link. The rear size is listed as 10"x10".

:rofl: at class of 2010 wanting to put 500 dollar ebay 20" rims on their otherwise barely modded e46s :rofl:

In all seriousness, 20 inch rims can look great on an e46 but the rest of the car needs to be heavily modded to pull it off. It needs to be slammed with aggressive ground effects, and other mods... No two ways about it, putting 20's on a stock car just looks cheap. Buy 19 inch VMR rims (710s, CSLs, whatever), drop the car, then start working on the body of the car, and finally thank us for pushing you away from 20's.

24" are the new 20's.

Follow these instructions and look like everyone else car on the forum.

18" is plenty big on an E46. These are compact cars.
