automatic engine wont shift (non-e46)
 

hey all,

my w124 won't shift out of first gear. i can reach about 50mph without shifting, but my rpm is pretty high. i cleared out my intake and put some Marvel Mystery Oil, not sure if it helped but didnt worsen it - i didn't wna run it hard to avoid worsening the condition..

no lights on the dash came up.

any first diagnosis? just trying to do some quick research or trying to find out if it happened to anyone else on this forum

pretty sure its the transmission, but any specifics or sensors i should be looking into?

car is a 92 with 115k

You might not want to drive around like that...

had to drive it home from work but told my dad to follow behind me just in case i stopped in traffic.

went to "test" before and it seems fine but definitely going to check it out further
