x5 wheels for an e46

hey guys,

looking into getting some new wheels for the tourer, and thought to keep in tune with the OEM style i'd try the X5 sport wheels

they are 19x9 and 10 i think with an offset of 45

will i struggle to get these on?

any help wouldbe awesome, as im a VW man, BMWtuning is all new to me

thanks

mark

Mark,

What tire sizes do you plan on using? Is your car lowered? If so, how low?

the car is lowered, but on adjustable Spax coilovers so not a problem to get it just right, going yo get the arches rolled flat, possibly a litle flare, nothing too nuts tho, hate spoiling the lines of a car with flares

will be looking to run a 235/35 on the 9 and a 255/30 on the 10

click link in sig man, if the offset is 45 it will work with spacers. :) DOOOO IT

C18wwn 04-02-2010 07:18 PM

smashing, cheers bud, what about nines on the front?

thinkng possibly they are 48 no 45

Snik 04-02-2010 07:36 PM

9 will work up front just fine with about et40 or so. less if you run stretched tires. et45 might run inside with 9s, so youd need spacers again

C18wwn 04-02-2010 07:46 PM

possibly smaller tyres, maybe a 225.35 front and 245.3o rear looking at pics,

would like a subtle stretch, and max clearance

Snik 04-02-2010 11:24 PM

255 is a good stretch on 10s, 245s I think is going to the more extreme stretch.

C18wwn 04-10-2010 04:40 PM

just trial fitted them, i think an 8mm spacer up front and a 5mm up rear should be fine, will sit flush with the arch then :D

cant wait to get them painted and tyred up!!!!

have pics to up load of the fitting

Snik 04-10-2010 04:48 PM

cant wait for pics. dont think its been done yet. :)

will put a taster up tomorrow

What's the center bore on those wheels? 72.5? I didn't even think you could fit them on without hubcentric spacers. I figured they would be different like the 5 and 7 series wheels.

Pretty excited to see this.

C18wwn 04-11-2010 01:18 PM

same center bore :P

the spacers im going to use dont need to be hubcentric (i dont think) as there is still some of the hub left to mount on
